About the role
- Design, procure, and fully commission equipment, specifically: stakeholder buy-in, RFQ, vendor selection, decision analysis, project workflow approvals, installation, and commissioning
- Ensure thorough and proper equipment validation and production startup through FAT, SAT, OEE, availability, complete technical documentation, and transfer of ownership success criteria
- Provide detailed assessments and critical Design For Manufacture (DFM) reviews of Product, Process and Tooling designs
- While executing projects objectively define and achieve OEE, throughput, and cycle time
- Lead GA projects both internal and external with tooling design and reviews
- Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience 2+ years of proven experience designing, implementing, and optimizing complex manual and automated manufacturing equipment & processes, preferably in the automotive industry
- Work independently with concepts and documentation from prototype to sustaining activities
- Familiarity with assembly processes, technologies, and platforms, their capabilities, and limitations
- Extensive Proficiency with 3D (SolidWorks, 3Dx, Catia) and 2D CAD (AutoCAD) platforms
- Proven interpersonal skills and ability to objectively resolve conflict within a large group
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Able to work flexible hours and schedules as required
