We move fast like a commercial team, while meeting the security and compliance expectations that come with supporting our customers. We’re hiring a hands-on IT Systems & Security Specialist to design, secure, and continuously improve our internal IT environment: endpoints, identity, networking, collaboration platforms, and compliance evidence. This Role requires IT security & compliance execution: implement controls, policies, and evidence collection aligned to CMMC readiness (e.g., practices associated with NIST SP 800-171), and keep the program operational. Secure identity and access across Google Workspace and/or Microsoft 365/Share Point: MFA, SSO, conditional access, least privilege, privileged access workflows Joiner/mover/leaver automation and access reviews Harden and manage endpoints (Windows/macOS/Linux as applicable):MDM (Intune/Jamf/other), patching, configuration baselinesEDR/AV, disk encryption, device compliance, secure remote access Design and secure networking for an SME environment: Firewalls, VLANs, VPN/zero-trust access, Wi-Fi security, DNS/email security Vendor/ISP coordination and reliable site operations Build strong operational hygiene: Asset inventory, vulnerability management, logging/monitoring, incident response Backups, disaster recovery, business continuity testing Create audit-ready documentation: Security policies/procedures, diagrams, system inventories, evidence binders Manage POA&Ms and track remediation to closure Be the go-to security partner for the business: Risk assessments for new tools/vendors Security awareness and “secure-by-default” enablement Required qualifications 5+ years in hands-on IT infrastructure + security roles (SME environment strongly preferred)Proven experience securing Google Workspace and/or Microsoft 365/Share Point (admin-level)Strong fundamentals in: IAM (MFA, RBAC, least privilege), endpoint management, networking, logging/monitoring Experience building security documentation and operating a compliance program (CMMC/NIST-style controls, SSP/POA&M concepts, audit prep)Ability to communicate clearly with non-technical stakeholders and drive work to closure
Nice to have:
Direct experience with CMMC assessments and coordinating third-party audits Familiarity with defense-adjacent requirements (e.g., handling CUI, DFARS-adjacent workflows)SIEM experience, email security, DLP, CASB, scripting/automation (Power Shell/Python)Security certifications (Security+, SSCP, CISSP, CISM, CCSP) or equivalent experienceU.S. Person / Clearance Eligibility: This role requires U.S. Person status under ITAR (22 C.F.R. § 120.62). This job may require eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance
