Job Description
Job Title: Line Cook
Job Summary: We are seeking a reliable and experienced Line Cook to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality food, maintaining a clean and organized workstation, and ensuring all meals are prepared according to company standards in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities: Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards. Set up and stock workstations with all necessary ingredients and supplies. Ensure food is prepared and served in a timely manner. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations. Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations. Properly store, label, and rotate food items. Monitor food quality, portion sizes, and presentation. Assist with inventory, restocking, and receiving deliveries as needed. Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently. Work collaboratively with chefs and kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications: Previous experience as a Line Cook or in a similar kitchen role preferred. Knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices. Excellent teamwork and communication skills. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs. Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred Skills: Experience with grill, saut, fryer, or prep stations. Strong knife skills and attention to detail. Ability to multitask and work under pressure. ServSafe or Food Handler Certification is a plus.
