Product / Textile Designer – Bath
Location: New York, NY | In-Office | Full Time
The Opportunity:
A renowned home decor company is in search of a creative Product / Textile Designer to contribute to various licensed and in-house brands within the bath and soft home product categories. This role involves hands-on design work, blending artistic vision with technical expertise throughout the product development process, from initial idea to final production. The ideal candidate will be a self-driven team player with a firm grasp on soft home product design, manufacturing, and development. They should thrive in a dynamic, collaborative setting, adept at handling multiple projects and deadlines concurrently.
Key Responsibilities:
Design seasonal collections and ranges for bath and soft home products Generate CADs, engineered placements, colorways, and repeat patterns Create trims, textures, embellishments, and product construction specifications Produce production-ready artwork and detailed tech packs for manufacturing partners Evaluate samples, strike-offs, and lab dips, overseeing revisions and approvals Work closely with design leadership, sales, sourcing, and production teams Manage multiple projects with meticulous attention to detail and adherence to deadlines
Qualifications:
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in product design, textile design, or related field Previous experience with hard bath goods is advantageous Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Pointcarre Experience developing production-ready artwork and repeat patterns Solid understanding of textiles and soft-goods construction Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to take ownership of projects Comfortable managing multiple brands, projects, and seasonal timelines What the Role Offers Opportunity to work with diverse, well-known brands Direct involvement in product development from start to finish Chance to enhance skills under experienced creative guidance Dynamic environment with rapid progression from concept to final product
