Starting Pay: $18.00 per hour Schedule: Monday-Friday, approximately 6:00 AM-6:00/7:00 PM; some Saturdays required Job Type: Temp-to-Perm Experience: Entry-level applicants welcome; food production experience is a plus
Job Description: We are seeking a dependable, energetic, and physically strong Fryer Operator to join our food production team. This is a temp-to-permanent opportunity for someone who wants to build a long-term career and grow with the company. The Fryer Operator plays a critical role in our production process. The ideal candidate is reliable, works well with others, follows procedures carefully, and is comfortable working in a fast-paced, hot, and humid kitchen environment Food production experience is preferred but not required. We are willing to train the right person who demonstrates a strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and excellent attendance.
Responsibilities: Gather and prepare raw materials needed for daily production. Maintain fryer oil levels and temperatures according to production requirements. Keep the seasoning equipment properly filled. Verify that the correct raw materials are being used for each product. Communicate with packaging machine operators and palletizers to maintain proper production levels and minimize overages or shortages. Communicate with the other Fryer Operator to ensure adequate kitchen coverage. Complete daily production paperwork required for USDA compliance. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen throughout the production shift. Keep raw material storage areas clean, organized, and properly maintained. Follow all company production, quality, safety, sanitation, and food-safety procedures. Assist the production team with other duties as needed to keep operations running efficiently.
Qualifications: Strong work ethic and dependable attendance. Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment. Ability to lift and handle up to 65 pounds Comfortable working in a very hot and humid kitchen environment, particularly during the summer. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and established procedures. Good communication and teamwork skills. Strong attention to detail. Willingness to learn new skills and take on additional responsibilities. Food production, manufacturing, or commercial kitchen experience is a plus.
