We are looking for someone who knows how to uncover commercial projects, build relationships with design professionals and influence product specifications during the early stages of a project. The successful candidate will work closely with architects, commercial interior designers, developers, builders and other project stakeholders. You will have the autonomy to develop your market while being supported by an established brand, assigned accounts, project-lead resources, marketing programs and an experienced internal team.
What You’ll Do:
Identify and pursue new commercial projects throughout the assigned region.
Develop relationships with architects, commercial interior designers, design firms, developers and other industry influencers.
Position the company’s products for commercial specifications by understanding each project’s design, performance and budget requirements.
Deliver engaging product presentations, educational programs and lunch-and-learns.
Build and manage a healthy pipeline of specification opportunities.
Track projects from initial discovery through specification and handoff to the appropriate sales or project team.
Proactively research market activity, upcoming developments and potential project opportunities.
Maintain consistent in-person activity with architectural and design firms.
Collaborate with regional sales, marketing, operations and project-support teams.
Represent the company at industry events, association meetings and networking functions.
Maintain accurate opportunity and activity information within the company’s CRM.What We’re Looking For
At least three years of successful B2B sales or business-development experience within architectural products, commercial interiors, building materials or a related industry.
Demonstrated experience influencing architects, designers or other project decision-makers.
A track record of securing product specifications—not simply delivering samples or maintaining existing relationships.
Strong prospecting skills and the ability to identify projects before product decisions have been finalized.
Confidence delivering presentations to both small groups and larger professional audiences.
A consultative approach and the ability to connect product capabilities with design and project requirements.
Strong organization, follow-through and pipeline-management skills.
A self-directed, resilient personality that thrives in a field-based position.
Willingness to travel regularly throughout the assigned territory. Experience with architectural surfaces, tile, flooring, countertops, stone, porcelain, wall systems, cladding, commercial furnishings or other design-driven building products would be especially relevant. Candidates from adjacent building-product categories with strong specification experience are also encouraged to apply. Why Consider This Opportunity?
Represent an established and respected product portfolio.
Take ownership of a high-potential commercial market.
Work directly with leading architects, designers and project stakeholders.
Receive established sales tools, account information, marketing resources and project-lead support.
Join a collaborative organization with visibility and opportunities for continued growth.
Competitive base salary plus performance-based incentive compensation.
Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, retirement and paid-time-off benefits. xsgimln

Before you apply
Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.
Your profile is current
It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.
Two examples you can talk through
Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.
A number in mind
What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.
Your notice period
Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.
Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
