About the role
A growing cybersecurity startup in Arlington, VA is hiring a Senior Azure DevOps Engineer. Their AI-infused SaaS platform is proactive, not just reactive, in it's ability to identify possible threats - working with teams in real-time to plan for, mitigate, and secure against threat actors. Their platform is used to secure both public and private sector customers alike. They are seeking a Senior Azure DevOps Engineer to help build and scale a secure, modern cloud infrastructure in a high-growth environment. This role will own and advance CI/CD, infrastructure automation, Kubernetes, security, observability, and disaster recovery, while providing technical leadership and mentoring across the DevOps team. The ideal candidate brings strong hands-on experience with Azure and AKS, Terraform, Kubernetes, and secure network architecture, along with the ability to make sound architectural decisions and work effectively across teams. This is an opportunity to have significant technical ownership as the company and platform continue to grow.
Required Skills:
- 5+ years of DevOps or related experience with a strong focus on automation and infrastructure as code
- Expert-level experience with Azure and AKSStrong Terraform and Kubernetes experience
- Experience with ArgoCD and Kustomize
- Experience designing secure networks and implementing Zero Trust principles
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and branch-based environments
- Experience with observability tools such as Grafana, Datadog, or SplunkStrong Linux/Unix and networking fundamentalsU.S. citizenship required; ability to obtain a security clearance required
- Strong communication, documentation, problem-solving, and collaboration skills
Desired Skills:
- Experience in a high-growth startup environment
- Experience designing disaster recovery or business continuity solutions
- Experience working with NIST SP 800-171 or similar security frameworks
- Active or prior security clearance
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Experience with disaster response, emergency management, or public safety technology
