Job Description: Fortis Institute in Lawrenceville, NJ is seeking Full Time & Part Time Medical Assisting Instructors to teach morning & evening classes. This is an opportunity to help students gain the hands-on skills needed for a successful career in healthcare in a supportive, career-focused learning environment.
What you’ll do: Deliver instruction in classroom, lab, and/or clinical settings to support student mastery of learning outcomes Create an engaging learning environment that promotes student success and professional development Follow course syllabus, content outlines, schedule, and required textbook(s)Use assessments and evaluations to measure student learning and provide feedback Submit attendance and grades weekly; submit final grades by the end of each term Be available to advise students and support learner progress Attend required all-hands/faculty meetings Uphold Fortis Institute policies, documentation integrity, and educational standards Complete additional duties as assigned by the Academic Leadership Team
Minimum qualifications: Diploma in Medical Assisting required (Associate Degree preferred)Current certification: CMA, RMA, or CCMAAt least 3 years of medical assisting experience Strong communication and interpersonal skills Highly organized, motivated, and results-driven Commitment to punctuality, professionalism, and teaching the full allotted class time
