Pet sitting is a flexible part time job, and you are assigned pet sitting jobs within approx. 5 miles from where you live. New pet sitters typically start gradually taking on new clients and helping with vacation requests as they come in. The hours are light to start and build over 2-3 months. Your hours will vary from week to week depending on the amount of work available and your availability. Generally, most pet sitters with open availability build up to working between 15-30 hours each week. The job is flexible, it's close to home, and if you truly love pets and like being outdoors, you will enjoy how positive and self-managed this working environment is.
Having a strong character and being detail oriented is critical to this position, as our clients trust us with a great responsibility. Communication is very important. Schedule changes happen frequently so you must be able to be reached quickly. Smart phones and GPS are a must!
The perks are many, including great pay, a flexible schedule (not your 9 to 5) with flexible hours. You will get plenty of exercise and time outdoors and the pets are lavish with their love and affection. This job is not for everyone but for the right person, it is very rewarding!

Before you apply
Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.
Your profile is current
It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.
Two examples you can talk through
Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.
A number in mind
What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.
Your notice period
Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.
Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
