Part-Time Lab Courier - Northeast Dermatology - Portsmouth, NHThe Part-time Lab Courier is responsible for the timely pickup, transfer, and delivery of medical specimens and records between laboratories, practice offices, and clinics.
Schedule: Tuesdays and Wednesdays, with potential additional days as needed for coverage.
Hours: After 4:00 PM Eastern Standard Time (EST).
Essential Functions: Operate a company vehicle during the shift across various roads and weather conditions. Safely transport laboratory specimens, medical records, pharmacy items, interoffice mail, and other related materials in a timely and efficient manner. Exhibit safe and courteous driving practices. Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor, ensuring positive interactions with patients, vendors, employees, and the public. Perform pre- and post-trip inspections and ensure the company vehicle remains clean, organized, and well-maintained. Demonstrate consistent and reliable attendance. Perform additional duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Minimum of 1 year in a customer service role. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. This role requires a proactive, dependable, and detail-oriented individual with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic healthcare environment. The ideal candidate demonstrates a strong commitment to patient care and operational excellence. Physical and Mental Demands:
Physical Requirements: Occasionally required to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods. Use hands to handle objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms. Occasionally required to climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, or crawl. Occasionally lift, push, pull, or move up to 20 pounds.
Vision Requirements: Close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
