About the role
- Perform commercial electrical service, troubleshooting, repairs, and installations
- Diagnose electrical and lighting issues and determine appropriate repairs
- Install, repair, and retrofit commercial lighting and LED systems
- Service emergency lighting, battery backup systems, and exit signs
- Install and troubleshoot circuits, panels, breakers, switches, receptacles, and electrical equipment
- Bend and install conduit and pull wire
- Perform tenant improvement and commercial electrical work
- Complete service calls independently and communicate findings clearly
- Direct and work alongside electrical apprentices when assigned
- Communicate professionally with property managers, facility managers, customers, and office staff
- Document job findings, completed work, and additional work needed
- Work from ladders, lifts, and boom trucks when required
- Follow NEC requirements, applicable codes, and company safety procedures
- Experienced commercial Journeyman Electrician
- Strong commercial electrical troubleshooting and service experienceAbility to independently diagnose and repair electrical problems
- Strong understanding of commercial electrical systems, materials, and installation methods
- Proficient in conduit bending, wire pulling, circuits, panels, and electrical equipment
- Commercial lighting experienceAbility to read and interpret electrical plans, diagrams, and specifications as needed
- Ability to lead and provide direction to apprentices
- Valid driver's license and clean/reliable driving history
- Professional appearance and communication skills
- Dependable and able to work independently
- Ability to safely work on ladders and in high-reach environments
