Role Summary:
We are seeking an organized, proactive, and detail-oriented IT Procurement Specialist to join our Service Delivery Team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys managing vendor relationships, creating contracts (SOWs/WOs), tracking orders, solving supply chain challenges, and ensuring customers receive an exceptional procurement experience. Must have prior experience purchasing for IT and understands technology hardware lifecycle and licensing.
What You'll Do:
You will manage the procurement lifecycle for hardware, software, cloud licensing, and technology services while serving as a key liaison between vendors, internal teams, and customers. Enhance our asset management program and lifecycle refresh processes.
Responsibilities:
Build Work Orders and Statement of Works collaborating with Engineering on the Bill of Materials (BOM’s), negotiate pricing, find the best distributor, purchase, and track orders. Provide proactive updates on progress. Procure laptops, desktops, servers, networking equipment (switches, firewalls, cables), infrastructure hardware, mobile devices, peripherals, and licensing. Maintain and enhance product catalogue for streamlining purchasing process. Help launch customer facing purchasing portal. Responsible for the procurement software fine tuning and automation. Responds to Procurement Tickets within 15 minutes. Obtain competitive pricing and identify cost-saving opportunities. Create spend analysis and purchasing reports. Track renewal licenses and suggest ways to maximize budgets. Administer Asset Management and Lifecycle Refresh program. Monitor backorders, shipping delays, and supply chain constraints. Maintain accurate procurement records and reporting Support inventory management and asset tracking processes Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and distribution partners Escalate fulfillment and delivery issues as needed to ensure resolution
Qualifications:
4+ years of procurement, purchasing, vendor management, or supply chain experience. Experience purchasing IT hardware, software, cloud services, or technology solutions. Familiar with Microsoft and M365 licenses. Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail. Drives to completion. Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously. Excellent time management. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Presents solutions not just problems. Experience working with distributors, manufacturers, or technology vendors. Customer-focused mindset with a sense of urgency and accountability.
