About the role

Start a Hands-On Career in a Skilled Trade If you enjoy working with your hands, learning new skills, and seeing the results of your work come to life, this could be a great opportunity for you. This is an entry-level, hands-on role where you'll learn directly from experienced installers and craftsmen while building skills that are in demand and can grow into a long-term career. What You'll Gain Paid, hands-on training in flooring installation, textile finishing, and light construction. Real skill development - not just a job, but a trade you can build on. Clear growth opportunities, with paths to Craftsman, Senior Craftsman, and Master Craftsman roles. A supportive team environment where learning and reliability are valued.
What You'll Be Doing: Measuring and fitting materials accurately. Supporting textile finishing work like seaming, gluing, wrapping, and edge finishing. Using hand tools, power tools, and tape measures daily. Working alongside a team to meet quality standards and deadlines.
What We're Looking For: A strong work ethic and willingness to learn. Basic math and measuring skills (tape measure experience is important). Comfort working in hands-on, physical environments. Ability to lift materials and be on your feet during the day. Attention to detail and pride in your work. Experience in construction, flooring, or textiles is helpful, but not required - we're happy to train the right person. Pay & Schedule Starting pay: $18-$20 per hour 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
