Must have experience with a patient ratio of 2:1 in a critical care environment
Description:
Night shift from 19:00 to 07:00.Assist with chest tube insertion and removal.
Experience in cardiovascular intensive care and management of ventilated patients is required.
Knowledge of CVA/acute stroke management is essential.
Familiarity with hypothermia protocols and ICP monitoring is important.
Experience in infection prevention and isolation precautions is expected.
Knowledge of medical intensive care and neuro intensive care practices is preferred.
Experience with post-craniotomy and post-neurosurgery management is beneficial.
Skilled in caring for patients with spinal cord injuries and traumatic brain injuries is a plus.
Daily census of approximately 10 patients in a 20-bed unit.
Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services.
Patient age groups include adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
Expected patient diagnoses include sepsis, respiratory failure, and trauma.
Travelers may be required to float between facilities if necessary.
Candidates must commit to working three out of five major holidays.
