Transportation Design Engineer (EIT)
Locations: Buford, Georgia or Chamblee, GeorgiaMW Talent is partnering with a growing company seeking a Transportation Design Engineer to support roadway and transportation infrastructure projects across the Southeast. This position offers hands-on design experience, mentorship from experienced engineers, and opportunities for professional growth.
Responsibilities:
  • Prepare construction drawings, layouts, and exhibits following the GDOT Plan Presentation Guide and Electronic Data Guidelines and/or SCDOT plan preparation guidelines.
  • Perform geometric calculations and estimate construction quantities using CADD tools.
  • Assist with the design and development of transportation improvement projects, including roadway and related infrastructure plans.
  • Coordinate with project managers and multidisciplinary teams to support project delivery.
  • Produce and refine design files to meet accuracy, quality, and project standards.
  • Complete additional transportation project duties as assigned by your supervisor.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
  • At least 3 years of transportation design experience.
  • Engineer in Training (EIT) certification preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of Micro Station V8 and InRoads or GEOPAK.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to read engineering plans and perform basic calculations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • AutoCAD and Civil 3D experience preferred.
