Candidates who receive an offer will be required to successfully complete a background check and drug test as a condition of employment.Legal Document Scanning & Office Services SpecialistSeattle, WA (Onsite)8+Month ContractOverviewSupports a special project focused on digitizing a large volume of legal records.Performs document preparation, high-volume scanning, quality control, file conversion, naming, and disposition.Handles sensitive and confidential documents while maintaining accuracy, quality, and tight deadlines.Supports mailroom, shipping/receiving, office services, and hoteling operations as needed.Contract: September 8, 2026 - May 31, 2027.ResponsibilitiesOrganize, prepare, scan, inspect, and quality-check large volumes of documents.Perform scanning, file conversion, file naming, OCR, formatting, and electronic file management.Operate high-volume scanners, copiers, printers, postage equipment, and related office equipment.Use image-handling software, MS Office, email systems, FTP, and document management tools.Manage electronic file requirements, including TOC pages and files prepared for printing or Excel.Sort and distribute incoming/outgoing mail and faxes; deliver packages and supplies.Create shipments and perform shipping/receiving duties, including checking packing slips.Assist with office/hoteling room checks, office set-up, and shred-bin collection.Operate bindery and finishing equipment, including paper cutters, hole drillers, joggers, stackers, tape machines, and electric staplers.Perform filing, document purging, and archiving as required.Maintain equipment, inspect convenience copiers, clear paper jams, and report technical issues.Maintain service, meter, inventory, and billing logs; calculate job charges when required.Respond to service calls and customer questions regarding job status and feasibility.Deliver completed jobs to designated locations and maintain neat, stocked work areas.Provide professional support to legal secretaries, project managers, paralegals, associates, and partners.Complete accurate work under tight deadlines and in a high-pressure environment.Lift up to 50 lbs., move boxes, and push carts containing mail, packages, and supplies.Perform other duties as assigned.RequirementsHigh school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.Prior experience scanning documents in high volumes is required.Minimum 1 year of legal industry experience is strongly preferred.Related copy/print services experience preferred.Basic computer skills and proficiency with MS Office Suite and email.Experience with printers, copiers, scanners, postage machines, and other office equipment.Knowledge of shipping/receiving procedures and basic electronics preferred.Strong customer service, organization, communication, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.Ability to work independently, multitask, adapt, and learn new processes.Ability to follow written and technical instructions and handle confidential information.Ability to lift 50 lbs. and move boxes, mail, packages, and supplies.Complete required legal training within 90 days of hire and maintain applicable training requirements.Business casual dress code.No driving required.Phone interview with potential on-site interview following the first round.Metasys Technologies is an equal opportunity employer.
