Job Description: Chef- Weddings & Special Events Superstition Manor | Mesa, AZ
Pay: $28/hour | Approximately 30 hours per week Superstition Manor is looking for a dependable, experienced Chef to help our culinary team create memorable meals for weddings and special events. This is a hands-on role for someone who takes pride in their food, communicates clearly, and keeps the kitchen organized during busy service. You ll work alongside our Lead Chef to oversee preparation, support kitchen staff, and deliver consistent, high-quality food for our guests.
What You'll Do: Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards. Support the Lead Chef with daily prep plans and event execution. Help lead kitchen staff, delegate tasks, and keep service running smoothly. Coordinate food timing with the culinary and event teams. Maintain food quality, portion consistency, and appropriate holding temperatures. Assist with inventory, stock rotation, and communicating ordering needs. Maintain a clean, organized kitchen and follow food safety procedures. Step in to lead kitchen service when assigned.
What We're Looking For: Previous experience as a sous chef or experienced lead cook. Banquet, catering, or high-volume event experience preferred. Strong cooking skills and attention to detail. Ability to prioritize tasks and remain calm during busy service. A respectful leadership style and willingness to work alongside the team. Pay: This position pays $28 per hour, with approximately 30 hours per week. Hours vary based on scheduled weddings and events, including evenings and weekends.
