About the role

Renewyx have partnered with an integrated design-build firm to bring on an Electrical Engineer. Their work is retrofits. Existing commercial and public buildings, made efficient, made safe, pushed toward net zero. Engineering, construction and commissioning sit under one roof, so what you design is what gets built.𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗲:Own the electrical design on remodels and retrofits. Power distribution, lighting and controls, fire alarm, building automation, generator systems. Write the plans and specs. Review the submittals and shop drawings. Keep it NEC compliant. Deal directly with the client, the design team and the subs.𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂'𝗹𝗹 𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴:• A current PE license• Electrical design experience on commercial or industrial buildings• A working command of the NEC and the ability to interpret complex electrical drawings and specifications𝗡𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 (𝗯𝗼𝗻𝘂𝘀, 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗿𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗱):• Experience weighted toward remodels and retrofits rather than ground-up construction• Lighting design and controls, generator system design, or energy modeling of building systems• Revit and Bluebeam Revu𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁'𝘀 𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿:• Permanent role• Kansas City, Denver or Seattle metro, on-site with frequent travel• Competitive PTO and holiday entitlement, strong 401k match, full medical, dental and vision cover• Generous paid parental leave, performance-based bonus potential, training and development budget• Relocation support You don't need to tick every box.
