Piper Companies is seeking aTelecom Network Engineer - Routingto support a leading telecommunications organization in maintaining and enhancing large-scale routing infrastructure within a carrier-grade network environment. The ideal Telecom Network Engineer - Routing will play a key role in configuring, supporting, troubleshooting, and validating telecom routing systems while working alongside experienced network professionals supporting mission-critical services in ahybrid role in Richardson, TX.Responsibilities of the Telecom Network Engineer - Routing: Configure, support, and maintain carrier-grade routing infrastructure within a telecommunications network environment. Troubleshoot complex routing, network, and connectivity issues across production environments. Test, validate, and implement network configurations to ensure optimal performance and reliability. Support router deployments and ongoing operational activities. Analyze network performance and identify opportunities for optimization and improvement. Collaborate with network engineers and operations teams to resolve incidents and support infrastructure initiatives. Document network configurations, troubleshooting procedures, and implementation activities. Assist with routing protocol administration and support of IP networking services. Qualifications of the Telecom Network Engineer - Routing:5+ years of experience in network engineering, telecommunications, or related infrastructure environments. Strong hands-on experience with routers, preferably within Cisco and/or Juniper environments. Telecom industry experience with a solid understanding of carrier networks and telecommunications infrastructure. Strong knowledge of IP networking concepts including TCP/IP, subnetting, routing, and switching. Experience troubleshooting complex routing and network performance issues. Hands-on experience with routing protocols such as OSPF, BGP, IS-IS, and MPLS technologies. Exposure to SIP and telecommunications voice network environments is highly preferred. Experience performing network testing, validation, and implementation activities. Compensation for the Telecom Network Engineer - Routing includes:
Salary range: $110,000 - $140,000 annually depending on experience
