About the Role: The Company is seeking a Vice President of Finance to take on a pivotal role in the organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for owning the financial strategy and operations as the company transitions from early production to large-scale manufacturing. This includes leading FP&A, accounting, business operations, product finance, and treasury. The role demands a strategic partner who can provide clear unit economics, ensure disciplined capital allocation, and establish audit-ready controls. The VP of Finance will also be heavily involved in fundraising and investor relations, as well as designing and maintaining financial controls and systems to support the company's growth. Applicants must have a minimum of 10 years' of progressive finance experience, with a strong background in FP&A, corporate finance, and cash management, particularly in a hardware or manufacturing environment. Hands-on experience in product finance, including BOM management, cost accounting, and margin analysis, is essential. The role requires a leader with a proven track record in building and owning integrated financial models, direct oversight of an accounting function, and a clear command of U.S. GAAP. The ideal candidate will have experience in electric vehicle, automotive, or other complex hardware manufacturing, and a background in investment banking, management consulting, private equity, or venture capital is preferred. The VP of Finance will also be responsible for team leadership, so experience in recruiting, mentoring, and growing a high-performing finance and accounting team is necessary.
