About the role

CO - P4526 - Administrative Assistant This position primarily provides administrative support for the Water Operations Division. The duties of this position will include, but are not limited to, coordinating procurement activities by preparing and submitting requisitions in eVA for new contracts/agreements and renewals and will coordinate and manage Purchasing card (P-card) transactions, reconciliation, documentation, and records for the weekly public notice process. Please note this position follows a hybrid work schedule to include both in-office and telework. Candidates must be able to work from the assigned work location in Virginia. This position may require you to operate a state owned or leased vehicle. Therefore, a valid driver's license is required. This position is primarily responsible for: Provides dynamic customer service and business program support services for work unit. May perform a variety of administrative and business tasks as assigned and may assist with program specific tasks. Assists with records management to include data entry and quality control. Communicates effectively both in writing and verbally to internal and external parties. Experience utilizing computer systems and applications in a business setting. Experience in customer service or professional office environment is a plus. Experience utilizing Microsoft applications and databases. Ability to collect and record data in accordance with agency policies and procedures. Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with the public, peers, and co-workers courteously and professionally. Basic knowledge of standard office procedures. Ability to perform assigned tasks within established deadlines with minimal supervision.
