Mail Room Clerk

Join Adecco in a dynamic, corporate environment located within New York, New York. This is an exciting temp-to-hire opportunity to work directly with a Fortune 500 company at their Corporate Offices. If you have a solid background in administrative support and are looking to advance your career within a reputable organization, this position is ideally suited for you.Key Responsibilities:Mail Handling & Distribution: Sort and distribute incoming/outgoing U.S. mail, overnight packages, interoffice correspondence, and product samples across multiple floors and departments. Shipping & Courier Coordination: Prepare shipments, operate postage machines, determine cost-effective shipping methods, and coordinate with courier services (FedEx, UPS, etc.) for deliveries and issue resolution. Sample Management: Organize and distribute product samples; remove and stage samples designated for charity or disposal. Mailroom Operations: Maintain cleanliness and organization of the mailroom, monitor equipment, record postage meter readings, and initiate service calls as needed. Reporting: Provide daily updates to the mailroom dashboard and track charity bin usage and movement. Facilities Support: Assist with tasks as directed, including conference room setups, supply deliveries, and other building-related needs.Qualifications:High school graduate or equivalent 1-3 years' experience in a high-volume corporate mail distribution department or facilities management maintenance department required Familiarity with MS Outlook, Excel and Word software Physical requirement- must be able to lift 50-55 lbsAdditional Details:Work hours: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday.
