About Lezza FoodsLezza Foods is a growing food importer and distributor based in Fairfield, New Jersey. We import specialty food products and sell through distributors as well as directly to retail and foodservice customers across the United States. We are looking for an experienced, motivated Retail Account Manager to help expand and manage our retail business nationwide. This is a hands-on sales position for someone who is comfortable building relationships, generating new business, traveling frequently, and managing the full sales process from lead generation to customer development.
The Role: As a Retail Account Manager, you will be responsible for developing new retail opportunities and growing existing customer relationships. You will work directly with retail buyers and decision-makers, coordinate product presentations and tastings, and represent Lezza Foods at customer meetings throughout the United States. This position requires frequent travel, approximately every other week, for customer meetings, product cuttings, tastings, trade events, and other sales activities.
Responsibilities: Develop and maintain relationships with grocery retailers, supermarket chains, specialty retailers, and other retail customers. Generate new sales leads and identify prospective retail customers using company-provided tools and resources. Conduct outreach through phone, email, and other channels to develop new business opportunities. Prepare product samples and presentations for customer meetings and product cuttings. Travel throughout the United States by air and/or ground transportation to attend customer meetings, product cuttings, tastings, and other sales activities. Present Lezza Foods products to buyers and other retail decision-makers. Manage the sales process from initial prospecting through account development and ongoing relationship management. Grow existing accounts by introducing new products, expanding distribution, and identifying additional opportunities. Coordinate with internal teams, distributors, logistics partners, and customers to ensure successful execution. Follow up consistently with customers regarding pricing, products, orders, promotions, and new opportunities. Track leads, opportunities, customer information, and sales activity using company systems and tools. Attend industry trade shows and other industry events as needed. Represent Lezza Foods professionally when interacting with customers and business partners. Assist with preparing, transporting, and setting up product samples and displays. Some products or cases may weigh up to 50 lbs.
Qualifications: 2+ years of proven sales experience, preferably in the food, grocery, CPG, retail, food distribution, or closely related industry. Demonstrated track record of generating sales and developing customer relationships. Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. Comfortable communicating directly with retail buyers and decision-makers. Strong prospecting and lead-generation skills. Excellent organizational and follow-up skills. Strong computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office, Outlook/email, Excel, Word, and other business software. Ability to manage multiple accounts, leads, meetings, and follow-ups independently. Willingness and ability to travel approximately every other week throughout the United States. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Ability to occasionally lift and carry product weighing up to 50 lbs. Professional, self-motivated, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Turkish language skills are a plus.
