About the role
Strategic Business Development ManagerCareM Management Services operates at an intersection most post-acute organizations never reach — and that distinction matters for the person in this role. We run a multi-state platform of home health and hospice entities, and we build the clinically integrated networks that connect complementary providers into coordinated, value-based care systems. When our Vice President of Business Development walks into a hospital, a SNF, or a physician group, they're not leading with a single agency. They're offering access to a coordinated care infrastructure that most referral partners have never seen from a home-based care organization. That's a different conversation — and a much more compelling one. This role carries real strategic scope: you'll drive census growth across our managed entities in Texas and New Mexico, expand the provider network relationships that power our value-based care strategy, and report directly to the President & CEO with the authority to shape how this organization grows.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and mentor entity-level sales and community liaison teams across all managed entities in a dotted-line capacityDevelop and execute enterprise growth strategies aligned with census goals across service lines and geographiesBuild and sustain referral partnerships with SNFs, hospitals, physician groups, ALFs, and post-acute care networksSupport payer contracting and relationship development with ACOs and value-based care networksCollaborate with Ensemble CIN on network growth, provider recruitment, and value-based contract strategyEstablish KPIs for referral growth, census trends, and market penetration; report progress to executive leadershipTranslate competitive intelligence and market data into actionable growth strategiesRepresent CareM and its managed entities at industry events, conferences, and community forumsWhat We're Looking ForBachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Marketing, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered3+ years of progressive experience in business development, sales leadership, or strategic growth — preferably in home health, hospice, or post-acute careProven track record building referral relationships with SNFs, hospitals, and physician groupsExperience with payer contracting, ACO relationships, or value-based care network development preferredStrong analytical skills; able to interpret referral trends, market data, and census performanceExceptional communicator — credible with clinical, operational, and executive stakeholders alikeBased in Antonio, TX required with some travel between Texas and New Mexico markets requiredWhy Join UsCareM Management Services is the enterprise behind a growing network of provider-led, mission-driven care organizations — built on five generations of care and a commitment to bringing out the courage in others. Before you apply
Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.
Your profile is current
It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.
Two examples you can talk through
Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.
A number in mind
What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.
Your notice period
Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.
Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
