Job Title: Sr. Okta Technical Project Manager
Location: Remote (US)
Duration: 6 months + (likely 18 months)
Position Overview:
The Technical Program Manager (TPM) - Identity and Access Management (IAM) will be responsible for overseeing and driving the implementation, optimization, and maintenance of IAM solutions across our organization. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in Okta and other IAM technologies, coupled with exceptional project management skills.
Key Responsibilities:
IAM Strategy and Roadmap Development Collaborate with key stakeholders to define IAM strategy and roadmap aligned with business objectives and security requirements. Evaluate emerging IAM technologies and trends to ensure our IAM infrastructure remains innovative and secure. Implementation and Integration Lead the end-to-end implementation of IAM solutions, including integration with existing systems and applications. Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless deployment and adoption of IAM solutions. Okta Expertise Serve as the subject matter expert on Okta and other IAM platforms, providing guidance and best practices to internal teams. Configure and customize Okta solutions to meet specific business needs, including Single Sign-On (SSO), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), and Lifecycle Management. Security and Compliance Ensure IAM solutions comply with regulatory requirements and industry standards, such as GDPR, HIPAA, and SOC 2.Implement robust access controls, privilege management, and identity governance measures to mitigate security risks. Project Management Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets for IAM initiatives. Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure timely delivery of IAM projects. Stakeholder Communication Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, including executives, IT teams, and end-users, to gather requirements and provide updates on IAM initiatives. Act as a liaison between technical and non-technical teams, translating business requirements into technical solutions.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience implementing Okta as a TPM is a hard requirement
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Master's degree preferred
- Proven experience (8 years) in a similar role, with a focus on Identity and Access Management
- In-depth knowledge of IAM concepts, principles, and best practices
- Strong proficiency in Okta and other IAM technologies (e.g., Azure AD, Ping Identity, ForgeRock)
- Project management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is a plus
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
