About the role
- Creative Direction & Campaigns
- Lead creative direction for brand campaigns across Gameday and Herway, from concept through final delivery
- Art direct photo and video shoots: develop mood boards, shot lists, styling and casting direction, and be on set
- Direct external agency and production partner creative, giving clear briefs and feedback to keep work on brand and on schedule
- Develop campaign concepts and visual systems that scale across paid social, OOH, print, web, email, and in-clinic
- Keep two distinct brand voices clear: Gameday (performance, modern masculinity) and Herway (warm, modern, aspirational women's wellness)
- Performance Creative
- Create ongoing new versions of static ads (new hooks, headlines, layouts, offers, and visuals) to keep paid campaigns fresh and improving
- Use ad results to guide what gets made next: what to scale, what to cut, and what to test
- Work side by side with the in-house videographer/editor on video concepts, hooks, edits, and cutdowns for paid and organic
- Build a regular testing rhythm for static and video creative across Meta, TikTok, YouTube, and other channels
- Track trends in social, ad formats, and culture, and turn them into timely creative for both brands
- Hands-On Design & Production
- Design and produce a wide range of assets: digital ads, social graphics, in-clinic print (posters, signage, brochures, menus), flyers, billboards, event materials, and presentation decks
- Edit, retouch, and color-correct images for a polished, consistent look
- Adapt creative across platforms and formats without losing quality or consistency
- Turn creative briefs into on-brand designs that drive engagement and performance
- Brand Stewardship
- Own and evolve the brand guidelines for both Gameday and HerwayReview all creative from agencies, freelancers, and franchisees, and approve it, refine it, or send it back
- Build and maintain templates, design systems, and asset libraries for use across 400+ locations
- Keep both brands fresh and ahead of the category
- Collaboration & Process
- Partner with marketing, social, growth, and franchise support teams on goals, audiences, and timelines
- Plan ahead for upcoming campaigns and launches so creative is ready on time
- Manage creative workflow, priorities, and deadlines across both brands
- Present creative ideas and the thinking behind them clearly to leadership and stakeholders
- 5+ years of design experience, including 1+ years in an art director or creative lead role
- Strong portfolio showing hands-on design work, campaign-level art direction, and performance ad creative
- Proven experience creating paid social and performance ads, with a clear understanding of what drives clicks and conversions
- Comfortable using ad results to guide creative decisions and running ongoing creative tests
- Experience working closely with video editors on short-form content for paid and organic social
- A strong pulse on design, social, and advertising trends
- Experience art directing photo and video shoots, on set
- Experience managing external agencies, photographers, and production partners
- Expert in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign); Figma and Canva a plus; After Effects or Premiere a plus
- Strong grasp of layout, typography, color, and brand systems
- Experience with both digital and print (social, paid ads, OOH, in-store or in-clinic collateral)
- Photo retouching, image editing, and color correction skills
- Ability to manage two brands and many projects at once, in a fast-paced environment
- Background in lifestyle, wellness, health, beauty, or fitness brands preferred
- Healthcare or regulated advertising experience is a plus
