Role Summary:
The Field Capability Lead will partner closely with the Associate Director, Customer & Field Insights to deliver field-facing capabilities that enable multi-channel, customer-centric commercial engagement across the Business Unit. This role will lead projects from ideation through implementation by driving capability definition, cross-functional coordination, CRT/medical-legal delivery, and change management. The immediate focus of the role will be on defined advancements such as Field Suggestions and Field Alerts. Additionally, the candidate is expected to serve as expert in their defined TA‑alignment and drive continued innovation beyond these specific applications, including further AI‑enabled solutions. The ideal candidate combines pharmaceutical commercial experience, strong project leadership, analytical rigor, and a growth mindset.
Role Responsibilities:
Co-own and operationalize the therapeutic area field capability portfolio (Field Suggestions, Field Alerts, future AI capabilities).
Own a single intake and prioritization path for therapeutic area field capability requests and translate needs into clear problem statements, requirements, and release plans tied to measurable field outcomes (e.g., productivity, customer engagement).
Lead the operational maintenance of field digital capabilities including providing market updates to stakeholders and setting expectations with vendors for project development/releases.
Maintain timelines, ensure project plan execution, and gather stakeholder and field advisory input.
Ensure training resource updates (e.g., QRCs, FAQs, training decks) and communications (e.g., bulletins).
Serve as a central partner to Marketing, Sales, Data & Digital/Health (DHH), Compliance/Legal, Medical, and Managed Care teams to align scope, content, and timing—tailored to therapeutic area field workflows and customer needs.
Facilitate cross-functional governance and working groups as needed.
Own the CRT/medical-legal review and submission process to ensure compliant, auditable, and timely rollout of materials and capabilities.
Employ agile principles and iterative delivery approaches to accelerate validated solutions and continuously improve capabilities.
QualificationsEducation RequirementsBA/BS is required
Required qualifications & skills 3+ years in pharma sales, account management, and/or HQ roles
Proven cross-functional leadership (incl. matrix influence) and collaboration with internal teams and vendors/agencies
Strong analytics, problem-solving, and insight-to-action ability for field implementation (including creative solutions in ambiguous situations)
Solid business acumen and understanding of the marketing process
Effective change leadership; gains sponsorship and drives adoption as a change agent
Strong project management of multiple workstreams; prioritizes and delivers on time
