Thank you to our employees for being "The Apple Advantage"!In the role of Garage Door Technician Apprentice, you will play a pivotal role by assisting in the installation, maintenance, & repair of garage doors, rolling doors, dock equipment, and related systems. Prior experience is preferred but not required, as we provide thorough on-the-job training.
Duties: Assist with the installation of garage door products per the manufacturer's specifications. Gather and prepare materials needed for installation and service jobs. Maintain paperwork and records as necessary. Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment.
Requirements: Must be at least 18 years of age. Must possess a valid Driver's License. Must have an accepted MVR to be added to our auto insurance policy. Must have dependable & reliable transportation to and from your base office location.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience in garage door service/install or similar skilled trade. Basic knowledge of construction, hand tools, and/or electrical. Mechanical inclination
Skills: Willingness to learn Excellent attention to detail Customer service-oriented mindset Adaptability to a changing work environment Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment Strong communication and interpersonal skills Work Conditions: Non-climate-controlled environment will be working in all weather conditions. Frequently walking, standing, bending, climbing ladders, using lift equipment, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
