About the role
On behalf of the Philadelphia Zoo, we'd like to invite you to volunteer at our annual Halloween event "Boo at the Zoo," where guests enjoy trick-or-treating in the Zoo. Approximately 40 volunteers per shift are needed to help with candy distribution and Halloween-themed crafts and games. We can accommodate groups of up to 30 volunteers. All volunteers receive free parking and admission for the day, and two tickets to return to the zoo as a guest on another date. Volunteers wearing costumes will be eligible to win a variety of prizes, up to and including giraffe feeding tickets and a behind-the-scenes experience at the Zoo! Before you apply
Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.
Your profile is current
It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.
Two examples you can talk through
Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.
A number in mind
What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.
Your notice period
Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.
Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
