About the role
DescriptionProgram Protection / Critical Program Information (CPI) SpecialistThe Program Protection / CPI Specialist supports Army acquisition programs with a primary focus on identifying, managing, and protecting Critical Program Information (CPI) and implementing horizontal protection across programs and stakeholders. This role requires close coordination with all CPEs to ensure all organic and inherited CPI is accurately loaded into the Acquisition Security Database (ASDB), tracked, and protected. The position also supports development and staffing of Program Protection Plans (PPPs).Location: Onsite 3-5 days a weekKey ResponsibilitiesCoordinate with all CPEs to load all organic and inherited CPI into the Acquisition Security Database (ASDB)Ensure CPI is accurately identified, documented, and maintained to support horizontal protection across programsSupport programs by drafting PPPs for milestone decisions across various acquisition adaptive pathwaysReview and provide substantive feedback on PPPs during HQ staffingPilot OUSW(R&E)-provided Guided PPP and ePPP tools and provide user feedback on improvement opportunities and pain pointsCollaborate with ARTPC and OUSW(R&E) on improvements and additional capability for the ASDBDraft the Army playbook for Program Protection with emphasis on CPI management and horizontal protection practicesSet topics and facilitate the monthly Program ProtectionRequirementsRequired QualificationsEngineering or technical background with strong CPI and horizontal protection expertiseBachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferredActive Secret clearance5+ years of experience implementing governance with federal stakeholders and 2+ year working with the Department of War to implementing governancePreferred QualificationsProfessional with engineering or technical backgroundStrong working knowledge of CPI identification, documentation, and horizontal protectionExperience coordinating across CPEs, acquisition security functions, and program protection stakeholdersFamiliarity with ASDB, PPP development, and Army acquisition processesStrong facilitation, communication, and stakeholder coordination skillsVenesco, LLC, is an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer.
