Position Title: Contract Coordinator
Location: DC - hybrid schedule
Assignment Type: 3-6 month contract
Compensation:

Job Description:
Review incoming contracts, including terms and conditions, to assess compliance with organizational policies, legal requirements, and value-for-money considerations. Coordinate with Finance to support financial reviews and analysis. Manage and monitor contract requests, amendments, renewals, and expirations, ensuring appropriate internal stakeholders are informed and required actions are completed in a timely manner. Coordinate day-to-day contract administration and compliance activities in collaboration with the Office of General Counsel (OGC) and Finance. Support the development, implementation, review, and ongoing improvement of contract policies, procedures, and related processes. Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the organization’s contract and document management systems and ensure they are used effectively and consistently. Maintain accurate, complete, and well-organized contract records, including supporting documentation, reports, and related paperwork. Ensure records are maintained in accordance with organizational policies, applicable regulatory requirements, and audit standards. Provide guidance, training, and ongoing support to staff across the organization regarding contract policies, procedures, templates, and internal processes. Assist staff in properly preparing, drafting, and routing contracts for review and approval.
Requirements:
At least three years of experience reviewing, administering, or managing contracts and/or grants.
Experience working in a nonprofit environment, with exposure to the organization’s contracting or grant-related processes.
Strong experience partnering with Finance and Accounting teams on grant reviews, financial documentation, and related contract or grant activities, serving as a key liaison between departments.
Familiarity with full-cycle contract or grant processes, including evolving workflows, process improvements, and the development or use of standard operating procedures (SOPs).Working knowledge of DocuSign and familiarity with legal or contract management technologies. Experience with similar systems is valuable, and training can be provided where needed.
