About the role
- Inspecting manufactured parts for defects and quality concerns
- Performing quality tests and taking product measurements
- Reading and following quality specifications and customer requirements
- Using tools such as calipers, gauges, CMMs, vision systems, and other measuring equipment
- Identifying and documenting products that do not meet specifications
- Investigating defects and helping determine what may have caused the problem
- Reviewing inspection results and communicating quality concerns to Production
- Helping employees understand quality requirements, sampling procedures, and testing expectations
- Maintaining and distributing gauges, fixtures, inspection tools, and quality check sheets
- Ensuring measuring and testing equipment is properly calibrated
- Entering inspection and quality information into computer systems
- Supporting ISO requirements and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
- Working with Production and other departments to continuously improve product quality
- What We're Looking ForRequired:
- High school diploma or GEDStrong attention to detail
- Basic math and measurement skills
- Ability to read specifications and follow inspection requirements
- Ability to recognize and communicate product defects or quality concerns
- Comfortable using computers to enter and review information
- Good verbal and written communication skills
