Role Description: This is a full-time, on-site Sourcing and Product Development role based in New York, NY. The individual in this role will identify and evaluate suppliers, manage sourcing activities, and support product development from concept through production. Day-to-day responsibilities include researching and vetting new vendors, reviewing samples, coordinating product specifications, and collaborating with design, sales, and operations teams to align product features with market needs. The role involves negotiating pricing and contract terms, monitoring production timelines, and ensuring quality standards and compliance requirements are met. The position also requires tracking industry trends, analyzing cost structures, and contributing to continuous improvement in the sourcing and development process.
Qualifications: Strong Analytical Skills to evaluate suppliers, cost structures, product performance, and market trends. Effective Communication abilities for collaborating with internal teams, vendors, and stakeholders. Contract Negotiation and Procurement skills to secure favorable terms, manage purchasing activities, and maintain supplier relationships. Experience with Recruiting or vendor sourcing to identify, assess, and onboard new manufacturing partners. Background in product development, supply chain, or sourcing within consumer goods or electronics is beneficial. Proficiency with spreadsheets, data analysis tools, and project management software. Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, engineering, or a related field preferred. Ability to work on-site in New York, NY, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
