Engineering Project Coordinator
Location: Jackson, MI (Hybrid)
Job Summary:
We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Engineering Project Coordinator to support lead project engineers with engineering projects, design reviews, technical documentation, and field activities. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, the ability to read engineering drawings, and experience coordinating multiple projects and tasks. This role may require site visits and travel to support fieldwork.
Key Responsibilities:
Collect, review, and calculate technical data to support engineering projects.
Perform basic field testing within the relevant area of specialization, as required.
Coordinate multiple engineering projects and assist lead project engineers with project activities.
Support design reviews, consolidate drawing comments, and assist with specification development.
Prepare engineering drawings, maps, finalized drawings, and graphic exhibits.
Develop field reports, inspection reports, and project summary reports.
Review engineering drawings and technical documents for accuracy and completeness.
Communicate project updates and coordinate tasks with project engineers and other team members.
Attend site visits and travel as required to support fieldwork and project activities.
Follow instructions and project guidance provided by lead project engineers.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Minimum two-year college degree in a scientific or technical field, or equivalent qualification.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Good understanding of engineering drawings and drawing interpretation.
Ability to coordinate multiple projects, tasks, and deadlines.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Bluebeam or Adobe Acrobat.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in technical documentation.
Willingness to accept direction, follow instructions, and work collaboratively with the engineering team.
Willingness to travel and participate in site visits as required.
