About the role
Our client, a major manufacturer of polyethylene packaging products—including bags, pouches, shrink film, sheeting, and related flexible materials—is seeking an Outside Sales Representative to manage and grow a multi‑state territory. This individual will sell a full product line into diverse markets such as food processing, general manufacturing, beverage, lawn & garden, pet food, and construction films. Approximately 80% of business is sold direct, with 20% through distribution—and the distributor channel is expanding. Territory: New Hampshire → Carolinas (Ideal home base: Pennsylvania)
Key Responsibilities:
Drive new business development and expand existing accounts across a large geographic territory. Sell polyethylene‑based packaging solutions including films, pouches, bags, shrink film, and sheeting. Manage both direct customer relationships and distribution partnerships. Travel up to 50% to effectively cover the region and support customer needs. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure product alignment, service excellence, and account growth.
Qualifications:
Outside sales experience in the packaging industry. Experience selling films, pouches, bags, sheeting, or related flexible materials (strong plus).Experience working for or with distributors (strong plus).Ability to travel up to 50% throughout the territory. Strong record of new business development, relationship building, and territory management.
Compensation & Benefits
Base salary:
