As a Commercial Print Technician, you will be responsible for the end-to-end operation of complex printing machinery to deliver high-quality output. You will play a vital role in optimizing production workflows, ensuring color accuracy, and maintaining equipment performance to meet demanding output schedules.
Responsibilities:
Configure and calibrate press equipment to ensure precise registration and color fidelity for every production run.
Execute complex machine setups, including material loading and component adjustments, to maximize operational efficiency.
Monitor print quality throughout the run, proactively identifying and resolving technical issues to minimize spoilage and waste.
Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on press components to ensure long-term equipment reliability.
Collaborate with cross-shift teams to ensure seamless transitions and consistent production throughput.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-compliant workspace to support high-volume manufacturing standards.
Qualifications
Required Skills:
High school diploma or GED.
Proven mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot complex machinery.
Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret technical work orders and schematics.
Commitment to safety protocols and maintaining a high standard of quality control.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Skills:
Prior hands-on experience with offset lithography, digital printing, or flexographic systems.
Technical proficiency in large format graphics or sheet-fed printing processes.
Experience with binding or post-press finishing operations.
Demonstrated ability to learn new printing technologies and adapt to evolving production requirements.
