About the role

US Brand and Community Lead (3 Month Contract) Sips | New York, Los Angeles or Miami | Hybrid | Full time contract, with a path to a permanent role About SipsSips is a British water bottle designed to fit in your handbag. It's a style accessory first: slim, 480ml, with a leather effect bumper and strap, made for commutes, gym bags and nights out. We're stocked with Anthropologie and sell to independent retailers through Faire, with repeat orders arriving weekly. Our customer is stylish, busy, goes to Pilates and cares how things look. The reaction we want is simple: "Cool, you've got a Sips."The US is our biggest opportunity, and we're building it brand first.
The role:
  • Your job is to make Sips look like it's everywhere in the US before it actually is. Creators carrying it, studios stocking it, and shoppers recognising it on the shelf.
  • This isn't a performance marketing role. You won't be managing ad budgets or chasing ROAS. You'll build the brand through people: creators, communities, partners and events.
  • You'll be our first person on the ground in the US, so you'll set the playbook we scale from.
  • What you'll own
  • Creator seeding: find, vet and gift Sips to 300 US micro creators across fashion, Pilates and wellness
  • Ambassador programme: turn the best performing creators into a paid group of around 20 Studio partnerships: sign boutique Pilates studios for front desk displays, giveaways and joint posts
  • Brand collaborations: run joint giveaways and collab posts with complementary brands
  • Retail support: drive footfall and sell-through for Anthropologie and future US retailers
  • Events and pop ups in New York, LA or MiamiPR and gifting to US fashion and lifestyle editorsUS content direction, working with our UK social team across Instagram and TikTok
  • A short weekly update on activity, results and learnings
  • What success looks like after three months300 creators gifted20 paid ambassadors signed15 studio partnerships live3 brand collaborations run
  • Clear growth in US reach, retail sell-through and wholesale enquiries
  • A bank of reusable creator content with usage rights
  • Hit these and we'll talk about making the role permanent.
  • Who you are3 to 6 years in brand, community or influencer marketing at a consumer brand that grew through seeding and word of mouth, ideally in beauty, fashion or wellness
  • Early stage experience, where the team was small and you did everything yourself
  • A track record of creator programmes you can show us, with real results
  • You already know creators personally and could name 20 who'd suit SipsYou're part of the Pilates, wellness or fashion scene in New York, LA or MiamiHappy packing boxes as well as pitching partners
  • Commercial, organised, self starting and comfortable working with a UK team five hours ahead
  • This probably isn't for you if you mainly think in funnels and ad spend, or would rather brief an agency than do the work yourself.
  • Salary$5000-$6000 per month, negotiable on experience

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
