Role Description: This part-time Dispatcher role is a hybrid position based in Mesa, AZ. Primarily based in-office, with some work-from-home flexibility. The Dispatcher will coordinate daily auto transport schedules, assign loads to carriers, and track vehicles in transit. Responsibilities include building loads, vetting carriers, communicating with drivers and customers, updating bookings, resolving scheduling issues, and confirming pickup and delivery details. The role involves maintaining accurate records in dispatch systems, monitoring timelines, and escalating any delays or service concerns as needed. The Dispatcher will work with the operations team to optimize routes and support a smooth transport process. Role will also include accounts payable, accounts receivable, and administrative duties. While the position is currently part time, we are growing and anticipate a full-time need in the future.
Qualifications: Strong organizational and time-management abilities to handle multiple routes, schedules, and customer requests. Effective communication skills for working with drivers, customers, and internal teams by phone, email, and messaging tools. Comfort with computers and dispatch or CRM software, including accurate data entry and basic reporting. Problem-solving skills to address delays, route changes, and service issues in a calm and efficient manner. Customer service mindset with professionalism, reliability, and attention to detail in all interactions. Ability to work onsite in Mesa, AZ on scheduled days, with the discipline to work independently from home when required. Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook a plus Previous experience in transportation, logistics, dispatch as well as bookkeeping is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential. High school diploma or equivalent; additional coursework or training in logistics or business is a plus.
