About the role
Supporting a government program remotely, the On Call Patent Searcher will perform detailed patent and non-patent literature searches, analyze complex search requests, and prepare high-quality search results.
Key responsibilities:
Conduct detailed patent and non-patent literature searches in various online databases, with a preference for mechanical technology
Analyze complex search requests to develop and modify effective search strategies
Review and prepare search results for customers in specified formats while ensuring clarity and accuracy
Required qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant technology field
Minimum of 2 years' experience in electronic database searching
Expertise in complex searching of scientific and technical literature and patents using major online commercial and in-house tools
Knowledge of the U.S. patent system and patent examining procedures
Experience in searching for scientific and technical literature in at least one technology area
