Job Description
Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Electronic Security Technician to install, program, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair electronic security systems at our commercial customer locations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, intercom systems, and related low-voltage technologies. This position requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, professional customer service, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
Install and terminate low-voltage cabling, including CAT5e/CAT6 and other security-related wiring. Install and troubleshoot: Access control systemsCCTV/IP video surveillance systems Intrusion alarm systems Intercom and entry systems Electronic locks and door hardware Program and configure security system hardware and software. Perform preventive maintenance and system inspections. Read and interpret wiring diagrams, floor plans, schematics, and system documentation. Maintain accurate service reports, installation documentation, and inventory records. Communicate professionally with customers, project managers, and other technicians. Travel to customer sites as required.
Qualifications:
1–3+ years of experience installing or servicing electronic security or low-voltage systems preferred. Working knowledge of access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, and low-voltage wiring. Ability to use hand tools, power tools, test equipment, and basic diagnostic equipment. Basic understanding of IP networking, TCP/IP, PoE, switches, and network-connected security devices. Ability to read wiring diagrams and technical documentation. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Valid driver's license Ability to work from ladders, lifts, and in confined or elevated areas when required. Ability to pass applicable background and employment screening requirements.\nCompany
