About the role

Job Summary: An Assistant Fabricator at the ADAPT shop will work alongside the shop's fabricator to help manufacture our standardized suite of pediatric therapy equipment.
Essential functions: Setting up and operating production equipment, both hand and power tools, to process components made of wood, plastic, and foam. Assembling components into finished equipment. Meeting expected production quality/quantity targets identified by ADAPT Shop management. Conducting quality control checks to ensure output meets specifications. Assisting in identifying opportunities for improvement of either process or product.
Education and Experience: High School diploma / GED A minimum of two (2) years' experience in a workshop setting, either professional or educational. Preference given to knowledge of / interest in: Digital fabrication process (parametric design software, 3D printing, CNC router, laser cutter, etc.). Traditional woodworking Reading, interpreting, and design of schematics and procedures Strength and Mobility: Ability to lift 30 pounds Ability to stoop, kneel, bend and squat Ability to grip tightly with hands.
