Job Description:
Hydro Test Technicians - 9 openings!3 Month Contract 1st shift 6am-3:30pm 2nd shift 2pm - 11:30pm Pay $20/hr
Position Summary:
The Hydro Test Technician performs hydrostatic pressure testing on pressure relief valve components and assemblies to ensure compliance with engineering, quality, and safety specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
Pressure Testing: Set up, calibrate, and operate hydrostatic testing equipment to test parts according to engineering specs and SAP data. Inspection & Quality Control: Monitor hold times, calculate test pressures, inspect for leaks/defects, reject nonconforming parts, and mark accepted components. Post-Test Handling: Dry, preserve, and store tested components to prevent corrosion. Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate quality records in SAP and communicate discrepancies or equipment issues to the Hydro Lead. Safety & Compliance: Follow all PPE, safety, environmental, and continuous improvement protocols; keep a clean work area.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education: High School Diploma or GED required; technical/manufacturing training preferred.
Experience:
1–3 years in manufacturing, quality inspection, valve assembly, or hydrostatic pressure testing preferred.
Skills:
Ability to read technical drawings, perform basic pressure calculations, use precision measuring tools, and input data into ERP/SAP systems. Physical Requirements & Work Conditions Physical: Frequent standing, bending, and reaching; lift up to 25 lbs. Environment: Industrial manufacturing setting around pressurized water systems, machinery, and moderate noise levels. PPE required.
