Role Description:
The Apparel Graphic Artist is a full-time, on-site role based in the New York City Metropolitan Area. This position is responsible for creating original artwork and graphics for apparel across multiple categories, including men’s, boys’, girls’, and juniors’ collections. Day-to-day tasks include developing print and pattern concepts, refining logos and brand elements, preparing production-ready files, and collaborating closely with design, merchandising, and production teams. The Apparel Graphic Artist will adapt graphics to various fabric types and garment styles, ensure artwork meets brand standards, and stay current with fashion, color, and graphic trends. The role also involves revising designs based on feedback, managing multiple projects with deadlines, and maintaining an organized digital asset library.
Qualifications:
Strong foundation in Graphics and Graphic Arts, with the ability to translate concepts into apparel-ready designs. Proficiency in Graphic Design and Logo Design for branding, garment labels, and collection identities. Hands-on Image Editing skills using industry-standard software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator) for print and pattern development. Experience creating production-ready files and working within apparel manufacturing or fashion environments. Ability to interpret trend research and market data into commercially viable graphics and prints. Detail-oriented approach, strong time management, and capacity to handle multiple projects and deadlines. Effective communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional work with design, merchandising, and production teams. Relevant education or training in graphic design, fashion design, or a related field is preferred.
