AS A MECHANIC You will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of fleet vehicles and equipment. MECHANIC DUTIES INCLUDE Performing needed repairs and preventive maintenance on vehicles and landscaping equipment Initiating service calls and/or ordering parts needed for equipment repairs Performing skilled repair or maintenance operations, using equipment such as hand or power tools, hydraulic presses or shears, or welding equipment Following all maintenance policies and procedures Inspecting, testing, and/or completing work, using devices such as hand tools or gauges to verify conformance to standards or repair requirements Monitoring tool and part inventories and the condition and maintenance of shops to ensure adequate working conditions Tire Mounting/Balance Hydraulic/Drive Train Small Engine Repair/Troubleshoot MECHANIC QUALIFICATIONS 5+ Years Mechanizing Diesel/Gas Equipment- Vehicles, Tractors, Mowers, & 2 Cycle Engines Experience in performing a daily inspection on fleet vehicles and landscaping equipment for readiness Familiar with DOT Requirements/Regulations
