My client Novo Heath Services is a leader in the Healthcare Laundry industry providing a fresh approach to acute healthcare linen services. They have established an innovative approach that puts the patient experience first, while driving down program costs in ways that do not impact service or quality. The company has an unmatched track record of improving the quality of linen programs while driving the overall cost of our customer linen programs down. The Plant Manager reporting to the Director of Operations locateed in Skokie, IL will oversee all aspects of the facility's operations, from strategic planning and financial management to team leadership and regulatory compliance. This is a high-impact role requiring exceptional leadership, business acumen, and operational expertise, and the ability to drive the facility to achieve and maintain various industry accreditation requirements.
Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement short-term and long-term strategic plans to achieve company objectives, aligning with overall business goals and market analysis. Drive revenue generation and cost control initiatives. Oversee all aspects of facility operations, including production, quality control, safety management, plant maintenance, logistics and supply chain management. Optimize processes for maximum productivity and efficiency. Implement and maintain effective inventory management and capacity planning systems. Manage warehouse operations effectively. Develop and manage the facility's budget, ensuring responsible spending and maximizing profitability. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and make data-driven decisions to improve financial results. Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing team. Foster a positive work environment through effective team building, delegation, performance management, and employee relations. Handle talent acquisition and training/development initiatives. Ensure adherence to HR policies and procedures. Ensure full compliance with all relevant regulations, including (but not limited to) HIPAA, OSHA, and DOT FMCSA. Oversee compliance audits and risk management programs. Effectively identify and resolve operational challenges using troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and critical thinking skills. Communicate effectively across all levels of the organization, with suppliers, and with customers. Demonstrate strong negotiation skills. Drive customer satisfaction by resolving complaints effectively and building strong customer relationships Position Requirements/Qualifications:5 years of experience in a Plant Manager/General Manager role or similar leadership role. Proven track record of success in strategic planning, financial management, operational efficiency, and team leadership. Six Sigma/Lean Certification Possess a strong understanding of laundry processes, equipment, chemicals, and industry standards preferred but not required. Strong understanding of relevant regulations (HIPAA, OSHA, DOT FMCSA).Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or Business Administration (with a focus on operations management).Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software.
