We're looking for an experienced 4PL Broker to join our growing transportation team. You'll bring 3-5 years of brokerage experience, strong carrier procurement skills, and the ability to build last carrier relationships, all while working closely with our asset-based trucking operations to maximize capacity.
Key Responsibilities:
Source, negotiate, and secure transportation capacity for customer freight using DAT, Truckstop, and other load boards. Vet and onboard carriers, verifying DOT authority, insurance, safety ratings, and operating credentials. Manage shipments from pickup through delivery, proactively communicating status and resolving service issues. Negotiate carrier rates while hitting profitability targets. Collaborate with asset-based operations to maximize equipment utilization. Maintain accurate records in the TMS.Build strong relationships with customers, carriers, and internal teams.
Qualifications:
Required 3-5 years of experience in freight brokerage, 3PL, or 4PL operations. Proficiency with load boards (DAT, Truckstop), and TMS platforms. Working knowledge of DOT/FMCSA compliance, carrier safety standards, and onboarding processes. Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills. Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Experience in an asset-based trucking environment. Knowledge of drayage, truckload, LTL, and multimodal transportation. Existing carrier relationships and network.
