We are seeking a well-rounded podiatrist who is comfortable across the full scope of podiatric medicine and surgery, and who is genuinely willing to divide time between our outpatient offices and hospital rounding. You will join a collaborative team of foot and ankle surgeons who combine conservative treatment with advanced surgical techniques, care for patients from the clinic through the operating room and the inpatient floor, and help train the next generation of podiatric physicians. Locations Offices: Hackensack, Edison, and Montclair, NJHospitals: Hackensack University Medical Center, Mountainside Medical Center, and [OTHER AFFILIATES]Schedule: [X] clinic days, [X] OR/rounding days, call per rotation
What You'll Do: Outpatient ClinicFull-scope podiatry: nail and skin pathology, heel and arch pain, sports injuries, pediatric and geriatric care Diabetic foot exams, at-risk foot management, and advanced wound care Biomechanical evaluation, orthotics, bracing, and DMEIn-office procedures, injections, vascular studies, and laser therapy Pre-operative evaluation and post-operative follow-upHospital & Surgical Daily inpatient rounding and new consults at affiliated hospitals Emergency department consults and shared call coverage Forefoot, rearfoot, and ankle surgery; trauma; limb salvage and infection management Skilled nursing and long-term care facility visits as assigned Teaching and supervising podiatric residents and students
Requirements:
  • Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) from a CPME-accredited college
  • Completion of a 3-year CPME-approved PMSR residency (RRA a plus)
  • Active New Jersey podiatric license, or eligibility to obtain before start
  • Federal DEA and NJ CDS registration (or eligible)
  • Board qualified or board certified (ABFAS and/or ABPM)
  • Eligible for hospital privileges and payer credentialing
  • Willing to round in hospitals, take call, and travel between sites
  • PreferredWound care and limb salvage experience
  • Interest in resident education and academic work
  • Strong documentation and coding habits in an EHRTeam-first attitude and excellent bedside manner
