Account Supervisor/Account Director - Crisis Special Situations & Governance GroupICR New York City Metropolitan Area (Hybrid)ICR, a leading strategic communications firm, seeks an experienced and highly motivated Account Supervisor or Account Director to join its Crisis, Special Situations and Governance team in New York, NY or Norwalk, CT. This role involves supporting a diverse range of high-profile clients and corporate situations and provides exceptional career development opportunities for self-driven individuals. The Account Supervisor or Account Director will work directly with the firm’s senior executives to service existing clients, play a significant and leading role in implementing projects and programs and meaningfully contribute to growing the practice group. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Developing and executing communications programs in the full range of Crisis & Special Situations events – M&A Communications; activist defense campaigns and proxy contests; executive transition support; short attack defense; data breach communications; and the full range of corporate and other crises, including helping develop crisis preparedness plans. This work involves: Developing stakeholder communications plans and drafting the full range of content required for such situations Contributing to positioning and messaging strategy Supporting client counsel Media relations Developing new business proposals and participating in new business meetings Overseeing more junior team members in their activities The individual is expected to have: Bachelor’s Degree 3+ years specific experience in crisis & special situations activities Excellent writing and editing skills Media relations experience Sufficient knowledge and familiarity with capital markets, governance and public/private investor issues and ecosystem Demonstrated confidence in the ability to provide counsel to senior executives Ability to manage and lead junior team members Ability and comfort working in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment that invariably also involves work at non-traditional hours.
