About the role
- Design complete AV systems for K-12 learning spaces, labs, conference rooms, and district facilities
- Develop and program Extron (among others) control systems, touch panels, audio DSPs, and switching equipment
- Produce detailed system drawings, signal flows, rack elevations, and installation documentation
- Collaborate with sales, project managers, and installation teams to ensure system success
- Conduct system testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting
- Provide remote and on-site support during installation and post-deployment phases
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of AV technologies, standards, and best practices
- Ensure all designs meet district requirements, code compliance, and internal quality standards
- Required Qualifications 2+ years experience designing or programming AV systems (K-12 preferred)
- Strong understanding of classroom AV standards, control systems, projection, switching, audio processing, and networked AVProficiency with AV system design tools (Visio, AutoCAD, Blueprinting tools, etc.)Experience with AV-over-IP platforms a plus (e.g., Extron NAV, Dante)
- Ability to manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to customer sites as needed
- Experience with Crestron, Q-SYS, Biamp, or similar systemsCTS or CTS-D certification
- Experience working directly with school districts, contractors, or integrators
