About the role

Looking for volunteers with heart to help us teach tennis to kids with autism in Monroe, NC! No tennis experience is necessary! Our goal is to help these children learn socializing skills, fine & gross motor skills, and gain interest in fitness, which means we have a focus on fun. Volunteers receive training and are paired with a participant to help them through the motions of the game of tennis through various drills and games. We hope that our volunteers and participants form a bond and friendship over the course of our session. Volunteers who return each week find the most value in our volunteer opportunity and will see the strides the athletes make in our program. Saturdays: September 26, October 3, 10, 17, 24, 31 10:00-11:00 amLearn more about our program here.

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
